What I'm Grateful For

I am thankful for the Cheesecake Factory because it is a great place to spend time with friends and family. 

I am grateful for the San Francisco Creamery because the "Kitchen Sink" is a great way to spent time with family while eating a sink full of ice cream.

I am grateful for the city i live in because there is a lot of activities to do in a safe environment.

I am very grateful for the friends i have, especially in this photo class.  I would not be the person i am today without my friends and family. 

Hands and Feet

This is a photo of my father. He was doing some sort of paint job which is why his clothes are dirty. I liked the way it turned out but the truck in the background did not work the way i wanted it to work. The sticker on the back of the truck is a bit distracting.

This is a photo of my sister legs and feet. She is into gymnastics and wheres her suit all the time around the house.  This is better than the first image but i still think i could have been better.

This is a photo that was taken in downtown Martinez.  I love the background in the photo and the pose that the model is doing really suits his personality. 

This is another photo that really suits the models personality. The coffee and the college shirt just explains what he is all about. Plus my decision to go all black and white for all the photos is a decision that i am proud of.

Historical Houses

I choose this image because i really like the lines and texture of the railroad  tracks.  All of the photos have lines going in and out of the image. 

This is one of my favorite photos i have taken because you get a great deal of the train, train tracks, and the Benicia Bridge in the top corner. Once again the tracks seem like they will never end.

Once again, train tracks are involved. The bay on the left really complements the photo a lot in my eyes. Obviously, the theme is trains but the bush in the center is a distraction to the entire image. Other than the distraction, this could have been a great photo.

Personally, I love this photo because of the great view of Mt. Diablo. And the cargo train in the corner is really amazing because it shows that trains have been running around in the bay area  and throughout the United States forever. 

CP Campus

I chose this picture because I really like the newly built area of College Park.  This picture means a lot to me because this is probably one of the only areas of CP that has not been trashed yet. 

I chose this image because the garden at CP is truly beautiful when the flowers bloom. The colors in this photo really catches the eye and makes this stand out more than the others. The bee inside the flower is really just a bonus.

Nightscape

This is a photo from vista point overlooking a bridge bay the bay and also a city and mountains in the corner. 

This is also a photo from vista point but this angle specifically focuses on the bridge and the sky. 

This is a photo from Downtown Walnut Creek.  I was going for the lines in the cars and the lights around the trees. But the lines in the cars didn't work for me. 

This is a similar image to the photo above but the cars are positioned differently and i put the photo in a different filter in lightroom.

Color Effects

This is the end result to the bottom photo. When i put the bottom photo into color effects, I adjusted the exposure +35, brightness +27, contrast +44 and clarity +80. Then i selected Film Effects Modern and choose Fuji 800z. I also adjusted the contrast by 10% and enhanced the red by 22%. After I added a layer of Dark Contrast and then added another layer called Image Borders. In Image Borders i choose Type 11. The end product is the photo above.

Save Mt. Diablo Project / Shellridge

This is a photo of shellridge park concord/walnut creek. This is one of the trails that enters the shellridge forest. I really like the trail lines in this photo because you see it on the bottom and it exits on the left, but enters again on the upper left.

This is another trail which when you go further , you can see where i took my previous photo. I messed with saturation and clarity a little and adjusted the lights and shadows a bit.

This is once again another picture of a trail but i did not hike on this trail. This was a passing trail which was i thought was cool. This hill was really black compared to the other hill maybe because it had more sunlight.

For me personally, this image of shellridge stood out me the most because of the mountain shape , the sky,  the forest on the bottom corner, and the small little trail on the bottom entering the forest. I did not edit much but edit the lighting and clarity. 

HDR

This is a photo of my classmate Ben holding a Nikon camera. It took 3 rapid fire picture and imported them into an HDR program. This is the final product after all the editing in exposer, lighting highlights and filters.

City Life

All these pictures were taken in San Fran! This is just a picture of downtown San Francisco.  I darkened the photo toward the bottom but brightened the sky so that the photo could pop more.

This is a building at downtown but not too sure what the building is called.  As you can tell, that is not the normal color of the sky. I messed with the color of the image on lightroom so that it could appeal to more people. I very much liked this photo the most.

This is a picture of a man playing an unusual instrument in downtown SF.  Just because of the sound, I had to take a picture of him! I adjusted it to black/white which brought out a deeper meaning to the image.

This is a photo of some apartments in downtown San Francisco.  I 

This is a man from Chinatown playing a weird instrument. I changed the filter  to sepia in Lightroom.

This is a photo of the some policemen on motorcycles riding down a street before the chinese new year parade.
